Paris Patterson moves to Arkansas

East St. Louis (IL) offensive lineman Paris Patterson dedicated himself to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Patterson, 6-6, 345, released his decision at approximately 5 p.m. Monday, July 4, Arkansas’ 19th oral commitment for the class of 2023.

He chose Pigs over finalists Missouri, LSU, Nebraska, Jackson State, and Tennessee. Patterson’s list of proposals also included Iowa, Miami (Ohio), Northern Alabama, Northern Illinois, Northwest State, Tulane, Tulsa, and Western Michigan.

Patterson was recruited to Fayetteville as offensive line coach. Cody Kennedywho plays three offensive lines in this class this year, including Patterson, a four-star Luke Brown Paris, Tennessee, Henry County, and a three-star Joey Sua Bentonville (Arkansas).

“I just always admired Coach Pitt (Sam Pittman) and I love what Coach (Cody) Kennedy is doing here so far,” Patterson said. “It’s a win-win.”

Patterson was offered to the Razorbacks after visiting the Fayetteville camp on June 22, returning with his family two days later to begin an official visit to the Hogs.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Patterson is a three-star prospect, No. 492 in the nation, No. 33 among all inside offensive linemen, and No. 8 in his home state of Illinois. 247Sports ranks Patterson higher as the 27th offensive inside lineman in the nation and 7th in Illinois.

The Arkansas class scored up to 219.68 after Patterson’s pledge, which is seventh in the nation and second in the SEC behind Georgia.
