LAS VEGAS. The Detroit Pistons are much more athletic than they were a month ago. It was clear Thursday night during the opening of the Summer League in the high desert, when the team’s two lottery picks debuted.

It took Jayden Ivey and Jalen Duren less than 15 seconds to show what the future could look like – soon.

Ivey, a 6-foot-4 combo guard and the team’s No. 5 draft pick, passed, bent around the elbow, and charged onto the lane. Meanwhile, Düren was moving towards the basket from the right baseline. He nodded to Ivy. Ivey gave him the ball, tossing it softly high over the hoop, and Düren darted to grab it, and it dunked.
