The American League won the All-Star Game for the ninth year in a row, beating the NL 3-2 on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The NL quickly took the lead, scoring two runs in the first inning, including a solo homer off Paul Goldschmidt. In the top of fourth place, Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run home run to tie the game before Twins outfielder Byron Buxton followed with a solo hit to give the AL the lead for good.
The NL mishandled a hit between the first and eighth innings and lost in succession in the ninth against Guardians closer Emmanuel Claes who swept the side out by 10 pitches.
Framber Valdez took the win for AL and Tony Gonsolin was defeated.

Microphone Players Lighting a Fox Broadcast
Fox’s live booth talked to players on the field during the game, especially pitchers on the mound. Blue Jays right handed Alec Manoa was having a great time at the mic, knocking out three batters for his work.
